Nothing fancy, just an inexpensive Syma from Amazon. Should be tons of fun though.

When you’re ready to upgrade, I highly recommend the WL Toys v911 (4-channel) and WL Toys V977 (4/6 channel switchable gyro, FAST and full 3d capable). The 977 is probably the LEAST twitchy of the micro-3d ‘copters, and mine has proven to be unbelievably tough. Also cheap and easy to get parts for.

Under no circumstances should you throw it out your 11th floor dorm window and try to fly it above the parking lot. They have pitiful range and you’ll end up crashing it into some girls 2003 Mustang convertible.

That's what I heard at least. I'm obviously not that stupid

Hope it goes well! I usually recommend the Blade Nano QX as a starter quad, mainly because if you somehow break it’s indestructible components, you can find parts easily.

They are great fun indoors. Control can be hit or miss. We used to have one that was nearly impossible to hover, eventually wrecked it. Got another and it’s super easy to fly.

I have two of those a Syma S107. Fun to fly indoors and have enough power to lift up objects. I used mine to lift minifigures and christmas ornaments :P
